Manantial is a producer organization based in Jaén, in the Cajamarca region of northern Peru, an area recognized for its high-altitude coffee production and diverse growing conditions. Established in 2020, the organization brings together coffee producers with a shared focus on quality, sustainability and access to international markets. Manantial’s operations and facilities are located in Jaén, close to the coffee-growing communities it serves. This proximity allows the organization to work directly with its producers throughout the harvest and post-harvest process, while maintaining careful control over coffee collection, preparation and quality. Sustainability and traceability are central to Manantial’s approach. The organization works with certified organic coffee and maintains systems designed to preserve the identity and traceability of coffee from the producer through processing and preparation for export. Quality is equally important. Manantial continues to invest in its post-harvest, storage and quality-control capabilities, with a strong emphasis on careful selection and consistent cup quality. Its work reflects a broader commitment to producing distinctive Peruvian coffees while building long-term, sustainable opportunities for its member producers.
