Founded in 1986 by a group of Guatemalan coffee producers, CAFCOM was created with a clear intention: to share some of the most distinctive and carefully prepared coffees of Guatemala with international markets. Early in its development, this vision was reinforced through the establishment of its own mill, Beneficio Palin, S.A. (1988), a key element that allowed the company to maintain close control over processing, quality, and consistency from origin. From its beginnings, CAFCOM has worked closely with selected farms, building long-term relationships based on trust, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to preserving natural resources while supporting the people behind each harvest. This integrated approach, linking producers and processing infrastructure, ensures a transparent and reliable supply chain. Today, CAFCOM continues to export green coffee with a structured approach to quality control that ensures clarity and consistency in the cup. This work is supported by ongoing technical guidance to producers, encouraging improvements in cultivation and processing while promoting responsible practices that protect ecosystems and strengthen long-term sustainability. Beneficio Palin, S.A., located in an area with favorable climate conditions for coffee preservation, has been expanded and modernized over time. Equipped with advanced processing technology and certified under programs such as C.A.F.E. Practices and Rainforest Alliance, the mill also includes a cupping laboratory where each lot is evaluated, reinforcing a system built on consistency, traceability, and respect for the work behind every coffee.
