ASOMUJER HUILA was founded in 2007 by the initiative of ten rural women from the municipality of Timaná, Huila, who decided to join forces in search of better opportunities for their families and their land. Over time, the group has grown to include 75 members across Timaná, Elías, and Tarqui. Among them are single mothers, women displaced by conflict, and farmers united by the determination to build a future through coffee. The association works closely with its members, offering technical guidance throughout production, processing, and commercialization. This collective effort not only seeks to improve income, but also to strengthen community, protect the environment, and pass knowledge to the next generation, with the vision of consolidating as a strong and united organization that represents the voices of women in the coffee sector and contributes to a better quality of life in the region through sustainable practices and high-quality coffees.
