Exportadora de Granos Mexicanos, SPR de RL is an organization of organic coffee producers located within the El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve, in the municipality of Ángel Albino Corzo, Chiapas. The company was founded in July 2019 and is currently active, working directly with smallholder producers in the region. Its model is based on the production of certified organic coffees and on strengthening producer communities through training and technical support. For this purpose, it has established a cooperation alliance with the AgroClúster Cafés de Especialidad de Oaxaca and its president, Enrique López Aguilar, to create the conditions needed to train producers in specialty coffee and improve their farming and processing practices. The organization also aims to join the national project of the Mexican Council of Extraordinary Coffees, focused on one of the main challenges for producers: commercialization. The goal is to access better markets, obtain fairer prices, and improve the income and quality of life of producer families. Exportadora de Granos Mexicanos offers green Arabica coffee from Chiapas, with varieties such as Criollo Arabica, Bourbon, Caturra, and Maragogipe. Their coffees reach cup scores of 84 points or higher, reflecting the careful work of producers farming in a protected natural environment with a strong focus on social and environmental sustainability.
