The Central de Organizaciones Agrarias Pangoa VRAEM Peru (COA Pangoa VRAEM Peru) specializes in agriculture and rural development, playing a vital role in the local community. ​The organization brings together 23 coffee-growing associations from the district of Pangoa in the province of Satipo, Junín region. Its main goal is to strengthen coffee production and commercialization in the Valle de los Ríos Apurímac, Ene, and Mantaro (VRAEM) region. In June 2020, COA Pangoa VRAEM Peru signed an inter-institutional agreement with the District Municipality of Pangoa to implement a quality control laboratory for specialty coffees. This initiative has benefited its member associations, contributed to the region’s economic recovery, and enhanced the development of the coffee sector. COA Pangoa VRAEM Peru plays a key role in supporting the growth of the coffee industry, promoting sustainable practices, and improving the quality of coffee produced in the VRAEM region.
