COPROCAEL (Cooperativa de Productores de Café La Encarnación Limitada), founded in 2000 in La Encarnación, Ocotepeque, Honduras, is a coffee cooperative with 261 local producers. COPROCAEL operates a centralized wet mill with siphons for cherry sorting and machine pulpers for processing. It utilizes both patio and mechanical drying methods to ensure efficiency and quality. The cooperative emphasizes high quality and productivity while supporting its members' livelihoods and adapting to challenges such as climate change and the COVID-19 pandemic.
