This coffee is carefully sourced and milled by A. Laumayer y Compañía, a long-established Colombian coffee company founded in 1938 and based in Medellín, working with a network of smallholder farms (fincas) with a strong focus on quality and sustainable practices. Grown between 1,400 and 1,700 meters in the southern department of Huila, this coffee thrives in fertile volcanic soils that promote slow cherry maturation and complex flavor development. Huila is one of Colombia’s most distinguished coffee regions, covering over 154,000 hectares across 35 municipalities, including Pitalito, Garzón, La Plata and Neiva. Farmers cultivate a broad range of varieties—Caturra, Typica, Castillo, Bourbon, Colombia, Maragogype, Tabi and even Geisha—ensuring both genetic richness and cup diversity. The Supremo SC17/18 grade designates large, uniform beans with superior processing and minimal defects, guaranteeing both visual consistency and sensory quality. Producers hand-pick ripe cherries and process them using the fully washed method, which results in a clean, bright cup with notes of citrus, red fruit and a smooth chocolaty finish.
