Guji GR2 FT ORG comes from the highlands of Ethiopia’s Guji zone, in the Oromia Regional State. At elevations ranging from 1,850 to 2,200 masl, smallholder farmers cultivate indigenous Arabica varieties in fertile volcanic soils, relying on traditional methods passed down through generations. Harvesting is done by careful hand-picking, with the beans typically fully washed and dried on raised beds, ensuring consistency and quality. This coffee is produced under the umbrella of the Oromia Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (OCFCU), a farmer-owned union founded in 1999 that supports hundreds of cooperatives with organic certification programs, access to international markets, and community development initiatives. As a Grade 2 lot, Guji coffee demonstrates meticulous preparation and a low defect count, resulting in a clean cup with bright acidity, medium body, and notes of citrus and spice—hallmarks of this distinguished coffee-growing region.
