In the heart of Guatemala, the Antigua Valley stands among the world’s most renowned coffee regions. Surrounded by the Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango volcanoes, its fertile volcanic soils and steady climate provide ideal conditions for coffee cultivation. At altitudes of 4,600–5,600 feet, with balanced rainfall and humidity, cherries mature slowly, developing distinctive flavor and complexity. This coffee represents the work of 15 to 20 small and medium-sized farms located across the Acatenango area, near the slopes of the Agua and Acatenango volcanoes. Managed traditionally under dense shade, these farms preserve the natural balance of their environment while focusing on quality and consistency. Together, they produce a limited but steady volume of green coffee each harvest, reflecting the care and dedication behind every lot. Cultivated from Bourbon and Caturra varieties and fully washed, Guatemala Antigua Santo Domingo delivers a cup with bright acidity, medium body, and nutty, subtly spicy notes — a reflection of harmony between land, people, and tradition that defines the character of Guatemalan coffee.
