COMSA, Café Orgánico Marcala Sociedad Anónima, born in Marcala, La Paz (Honduras), this organic coffee reflects the character of a region known for its cool climate, fertile soils, and the dedicated work of local farming families. Each bean expresses a careful relationship between people and the land, with a clear focus on quality and traceability. Behind this lot is COMSA, an organization with over 20 years of experience promoting sustainable and responsible coffee farming, working hand in hand with producers who aim to improve their quality of life and strengthen their communities. Its vision—known as La Finca Humana—sees coffee as a driver of development through education, community organization, and agricultural practices that protect the environment. Its practices and certifications support a transparent model of production and commercialization, aligned with social, economic, and environmental standards. In terms of processing, the coffee is wet processed, from coffee cherry to dried parchment, applying good practices and quality controls designed to ensure consistency and reduce environmental impact, including the use of by-products to help close the loop. This lot comes from the lands of a group of producers; together, they are approximately a dozen coffee growers who share the same vision and high standards for quality coffee and land stewardship.
